This work was part of a body submitted for a MFA Michealis, UCT. The body of work sought to explore the social construction of disability and how it was a construct of society to exclude, rather than include diversity and access to wealth and jobs. The woman in the foreground seeks to whitewash the victim like medical specimens of disabled kids, while the work touches upon disability that could be washed clean. The work is involved and layered with detail.
